Steve White, AIA, LEED AP


Steve White, Associate, has been with Hartman-Cox Architects since 1998. He has served as a Project Architect and Project Manager for commercial office, residential, academic and institutional projects. His work in Washington DC includes The Kennedy-Warren Apartments, 1875 K Street, the Bowen Building and 505 Ninth Street. He recently completed the Denver Justice Center Detention Facility, a new 485,000 square feet building in the city's Civic Center. Mr. White is currently working on a renovation and addition to the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the Hoffman Federal Courthouse in Norfolk, Virginia. His work has been featured in Traditional Building Magazine, The Denver Post, The Washington Post and the Justice Facilities Review, a publication of the AIA.

Mr. White graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, where he was a Caldwell Fellow. He also studied art and architecture in Florence, Italy with the American Institute for Foreign Study. He currently serves on the Design Committee for the local AIA chapter, the programs committee of the DC Building Industry Association and the Wood Acres Covenants Committee in Bethesda, Maryland; he served as a Trustee for the National Presbyterian Church, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society for College and University Planning and the DC Preservation League. Mr. White is a registered architect in the State of Virginia and a LEED Accredited Professional.
