Scott Teixeira, AIA, LEED AP

Scott Teixeira, Associate, has been with Hartman-Cox Architects since 1999. He has been responsible for the project management of institutional and historic projects predominantly in Washington, DC. He oversaw the design and construction phases of the historic National Archives Building Renovation, a national landmark building of over one million square feet in downtown Washington, DC, and has recently completed a significant addition and renovation to the American Pharmacists Association Building on Constitution Avenue. Outside of the DC area, he collaborated on the conceptual design of urban mixed use developments in Houston along with design of the first new commercial development in Denver's historic Lower Downtown district, the 1515 Wynkoop Building. Mr. Teixeira is currently the project manager for the National Gallery of Art West Building Renovation and he has been called back to develop and oversee the Phase II design for the National Archives Experience. His work has been featured in The Washington Post, Traditional Building Magazine and Building Design and Construction Magazine.

Mr. Teixeira graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, where he was a Caldwell Fellow. He currently serves as an advisor to the Society of American Archivists Guidelines and Standards Committee; he is a registered architect in the State of North Carolina, a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED Accredited Professional.
